Ministries

From programs and activities for kids, to Bible study and fellowship for adults, our church provides intentional ways to connect with others and grow a deeper relationship with God.

Midweek Bible Study

Held online via Zoom at 7 p.m. on Thursdays during the summer months and Wednesdays the rest of the year, our mid-week service gives us a chance to come together to study, pray and fellowship.

Adults

Each week following the main worship service, the adults engage in a Christ-centered discussion focused on an aspect of the message just presented during the worship service. This time also allows us to share each other’s joys and burdens through prayer. We believe that God invites us to remain in relationship with Him, through the ups and downs, and prayer is one of the best ways to do that.

Children’s Ministry

From teaching young children about Jesus at a foundational level, to helping our youth and young adults find their place in the world, our goal is to support kids of all ages by teaching, mentoring and supporting their needs.

Weekly classes and activities provide a welcoming opportunity for children to learn, grow and become Christ-centered individuals who can participate in a lifetime of service for God.

Classes: Each week after the main worship service.

  • Young children: northeast corner room

  • Older children: northwest corner room

Pathfinders & Adventurers

Youth in grades 5–12 can join the Cascade Eagles Pathfinder Club. This club is part of a worldwide coed scouting-type organization for children sponsored by the Seventh-day Adventist Church. There are weekly meetings and members regularly participate in community service, outreach events and camping.

The Adventurers program was created to assist parents of children ages 4 to 9 in their important responsibilities as a child's primary teachers. The program aims to strengthen the parent/child relationship and further the child's development in spiritual, physical, mental and social areas. Through the Adventurers program, the church, home and school can work together with the parents to teach kids lifelong lessons.

Our clubs are dedicated to creating a safe, fun environment where kids can learn to serve others and participate in fun activities, all while learning more about God.

Education happens within the context of a larger community. Anacortes Adventist Fellowship generously supports Adventist education for those who are active participants in its congregation.

The program provides financial assistance, currently 50% of school expenses, for any Adventist K–12 school in the area. For more information, or for an application for the EMP program, please contact pastor Sam Millen.

Supporting Education: The Every Member Plan

Community Outreach

Serving our community and those around us is a foundational aspect of our church. We are active in our local community through various organizations, groups and initiatives. From holding annual events in our church to volunteering time for local community services, we strive to uplift and help others through our talents, time and funds. Contact our outreach elder or pastor if you’re interested in joining us.

Missions

The Seventh-day Adventist Church has a long history of serving the world through education, healthcare, humanitarian and relief efforts, as well as sharing Jesus with those who desire to know more. From funding special projects and initiatives, to occasional hands-on mission opportunities, we encourage our congregation to be involved in thinking and acting globally.
