About Us

About

Worship services at Anacortes Adventist Fellowship are simple, relaxed and welcoming.  We meet each Saturday morning at 10 a.m. and our services consist of three basic parts:

  • 10 a.m. — Worship Service

  • 11:15 a.m. — Discussion Group & Children’s Ministry

  • 12 p.m. — Fellowship

Our 10 a.m. Worship Service consists of a variety of activities starting with praise singing (sometimes accompanied by a band) or more traditional church music; a sharing and prayer time; a story for the children, followed by a short homily by our pastor or a guest speaker.

Our 11:15 a.m. Discussion Group for adults consists of a Christ-centered hosted discussion focused on an aspect of the message brought to us during the worship service. Children and youth meet in separate groups that focus on activities and fun learning about God.

Our 12 p.m. Fellowship includes a vegetarian potluck held at the church on the first Saturday of each month.  On some weekends there are also informal recreational activities planned after the service.

You are welcome to come for all or part of the worship experience.

Community & Fellowship

Anacortes Adventist Fellowship believes that the church family who works, eats and plays together stays together.  To this end, we are engaged in activities that foster a sense of relevance and belonging to our fellowship—something which is often missing in larger churches.

History

Anacortes Adventist Fellowship (AAF) was formed in September of 2008 to re-establish a contemporary and relevant Seventh-day Adventist Christian presence in Anacortes. The fellowship initially started meeting in a home, then the Croatian Cultural Center and later moved to the Middle School cafeteria. In September 2010, the fellowship was able to purchase a historic church building at 1419 8th Street in the Old Town section of Anacortes. Since then the fellowship has been repairing the building and adapting it to the needs of the congregation. In November 2022, the church purchased an adjoining property at 1411 8th Street, The Garden House.
